[knitting] Finished: Socks

Socks for Dollar's step-father:

Ankle socks for me:

These were knit mostly during my Columbus, OH trip: waiting for planes, riding on planes, in my hotel room. I used leftover yarn from other socks: Lion Brand Wool Ease and Plymouth Encore Worsted.

You've got some tiny feet!

Hmm... I've got to start taking some action shots of my knits. My feet are a size 9 but I think the worsted-weightiness of the yarn makes them look bulkier and smaller.

Any chance you want to share what pattern you followed/converted for the ankle socks? They rock.

Great socks, Amy!

I too, would be interested in a pattern for your ankle socks. Have only made one pair and didn't really like them, so need something easy. Maybe a shorter pair would be? They are really cute!

The sock pattern is from The Knitter's Handy Book of Patterns. I only made the ribbed "leg" just under an inch long. I like the patterns in this book because the charts cover most (if not all) gauges and foot sizes, so you can totally customize what you're making.
